Blog Post and Work Log
The most important thing, when it comes to filming, is finding the actors/actresses you need. There is never a film without them, unless you are doing a documentary on nature, then all you would need is a cameraman/women and/or a small crew to put together. But with TV and films, it is important that the director and casting agents/team are able to find the perfect people to play the roles that are being assigned. When looking for a certain person to play a certain role, it requires an open mind, as well as observation. Looking at body language/movement, looking at how they carry themselves/present themselves. Being able to choose between two really good people who you think would be best fit, is the toughest things to do. It is important to distinguish, good and possibility. Yes someone can be a good actor/actress, but do they have the possibility of becoming a star? Anyone can be good at something. It is just a matter of whether or not they are willing to go above and beyond.
Another important thing when it comes to filming, is finding the right script and screenwriting. There's no film or show without a script to go along with it. This is always the step one, when creating anything that has to do with imagination or acting. It brings life to the audience, it shows the progress, and the starting point of everything. It is, to me, always fun when writing a script, whether it be of my own mind, or from a book that I read. It's about the aftermath that is important. How can a director get from Point A to Point B, in a sufficient and enjoyable matter. Working together with producers and the screenwriters, is also efficient, because you get more then one mind to come together and create an even better story.
