End of Marking Period 2 Reflection Post
Sean Hopkins (Film): https://getoutwasdeleted.blogspot.com/2022/01/mp-2-in-review.html

- With Sean's story/film, we both kind of followed the same theme- following or showing the experience and feeling of a characters emotions through film. The feeling of being alone, or feeling sad- the 5 stages of grief, etc. His topic and theme flows really well with the way we live our everyday lives. He wrote, "The story [Includes] the entertainment and sadness of watching a light hearted friendship develop and subsequently be taken away.." I learned just how important it is for us to not take advantage of those who are in our lives. They are there to teach us a lesson, whether it be good or bad. For Sean's filming, he taught me another technique that I could see myself using, where; he would have the camera moving to the side as the shot is being filmed, and then the next shot would come into frame sliding to the left or tight, as if you were looking into different windows of life or memories.
Tina Yang (Animation): https://tinas3ddigitalblog.blogspot.com/2022/01/mp2-production-progress-point.html

- With Tina's animation and digital art project, it interested me on the process and basic/general idea behind the scenes. There was an anime I watched called RWBY that have the style of animation like the picture above (Used by Tina). The way the outlines and creases of the clothing make it look as though it were an actual person, with hat 3D/2D look. Listening and watching her describe the behind the scenes, made my interest peak on the different things I could create/different shows or films I could make with this kind of style. Kind of combining the two to create one thing.
Aliyah Alvarez (Film): https://mrbfilmclassblog2020.blogspot.com/2022/01/end-of-mp2-blogpost.html-
- The spiritual world and stories/main idea has always been my favorite thing to learn and talk about. While watching Aliyah's film, It was interesting to see how someone besides me interprets that realm and interprets that idea of the after life and the idea of angels being our guardian, watching over us, etc. (There was a shot in her film where the human was doing their own thing and the actress playing the angel was standing there, but when it cut to a wide shot of the human, you couldn't see the angel)- and that's exactly how I would picture that to go. You can't necessarily see them, but you can feel them there helping you along your journey. Also, the way she used the lighting, like you can see in the picture above, really added to the presence of the guardians, the halo and aura around their bodies, showing the power and the light.
