The shots that I take, are all made purposely throughout the day, to show the time passing. So the film starts out at night, then changes to morning, and then changes to afternoon/dusk. Now with the challenges of Daylight savings, I had to plan out school, weekend, and at the time, rehearsal for the show.  For my film, I definitely chose one of the harder ones to do. There is a lot of audio over-laying as well as a lot of different things happening at the same time. I've been focused on lining everything up, as well as trying to plan out how to include the sounds I want for my film, in with the other three or four layers I will have.  The shots that I have here, are the ones that i will be getting rid of, for the most part. These were one of the first things I filmed, and due to me getting a haircut, I had to get rid of these, but I am still using them as resources/a guide. With the shots at the graveyard that you'll see in the film, I made sure to bring my trip...

The most important thing, when it comes to filming, is finding the actors/actresses you need.  There is never a film without them, unless you are doing a documentary on nature, then all you would need is a cameraman/women and/or a small crew to put together. But with TV and films, it is important that the director and casting agents/team are able to find the perfect people to play the roles that are being assigned. When looking for a certain person to play a certain role, it requires an open mind, as well as observation. Looking at body language/movement, looking at how they carry themselves/present themselves. Being able to choose between two really good people who you think would be best fit, is the toughest things to do.  It is important to distinguish, good and possibility. Yes someone can be a good actor/actress, but do they have the possibility of becoming a star? Anyone can be good at something. It is just a matter of whether or not they are willing to ...

WORK LOG:   When it comes to working with costumes and makeup, it is important that the clothes fit the time period, and that the colors fit the mood. There are also certain aesthetics as well, when it comes to film, and it is important for the director and clothing designer to come to an agreement that it matches and works best with the feeling and scenes. Clothing helps make up emotion and shows thee audience how comfortable or uncomfortable the character is currently, in that scene. For example: If a character is comfortable, they might be wearing a sweater with jeans or leggins, with socks. But if a character is uncomfortable, they might be wearing something tight or something that doesn't fit the how they wanted it too. Clothing also shows personality and the aura's they may carry. More happy people might wear brighter colors, while more evil or sad people will wear darker, plain colors. There are many things you can show with clothes, and it goes along the line...

When shooting a film, you as the creator/director of the movie/show, need to make sure you have the perfect place(s) in which your story is located. Granted, a lot of films nowadays, use green screen to film more, complex backgrounds. But, for films who may not use green screen, the director needs to look through the script multiple times to decide where the best area would be to film. Then, once they figure that out, they need to figure out what shots can be used to fit best with emotion, action, and what angles they can use to add perspective as well. Most of the time, the director hires a location scout, who does all of the searching, before taking notes down, and bringing them back to the director who then decides whether or not it will be okay.  When it comes to sound for a film, it is important to know which microphones will do the best job in catching/picking up the audio that the director is looking for. Whether it be the actors talking, the wind blowing, or ...
