Production Blog Post 3/27

So I am a bit behind with filming. I haven't been able to fully start recording, due to musical rehearsal- but it is a fairly easy film to do, so it won't be too much to worry about. So, for this post, I will be explaining my film in greater detail, as well as explaining some resources that I have been using throughout this film.  (Don't worry- my film will be turned in on time :) I promise.)  My film takes place in the future, where there are resources to fly to other planets. Essentially, the time when Elon Musk and his plans successfully send people to Mars and other planets to colonize. (Kind of like WALL-E, but that was not my inspiration for this film.) My inspiration came from human emotion, and at the time I made the script, Elon Musk was coming up a lot between a friend and I, and so I started putting a few things together. I continued to stay with my Theme, and am still focusing on how things affect society and the citizens going through the ...

Intention Definition & Exploration of Ideas:   Careful analysis and attention has been given to finding an area of digital media to begin a focus on. - Like before, in my last blog, I had stated how, when going through the many themes we could choose for our films, I was torn between disaster and history. I am a very big fan of both, so I had to figure out a plan. I thought about what it would take to create these films, and what I am and am not capable of doing. Because obviously, I don't have the money to buy a whole office building, and film there, or the money to make my own set, like the Squid Games, director did. In the end, I decided to go with history, and how the effects of situations have on society and their citizens.  - Continuing with research, it was interesting to find how many things affect humans and society. It could be from: regular everyday norms. Like going to school, shopping, or eating- even to things that don't happen often, from attacks like...

When it comes to filming, actors are required to follow the script, unless they discuss with the Director ahead of time. Of course, when an actor or actress are auditioning for a film, they should already have learned about it ahead of time, so they know what they are going into.  But, when it comes to Romance scenes in films or TV shows, how exactly is it done? Many directors do things differently, which depends on their boundaries, the actors boundaries (Which sometimes, aren't set), and what they are comfortable with.  https://www.thebridalbox.com/articles/titanic-love-quotes_0038646/ There are times where an actor or actress are not comfortable, so they find a double, and avoid showing the face as to make it less noticeable that they aren't the same person. But, when it does come to the original actor and actress having to deal with a romance scene, there is a lot that goes into it. From the chemistry, to the editing (And sometimes, the kissin...

When it comes to funding for anything, it can be stressful, especially if you aren't too sure at how it will turn out or how to even do it.  But, when it comes to film, funding and finances come through with a combination of investors, tax credits, grants, and other sources. Normally these funds should be secured-(Usually by the film producers and sales agents)- at the beginning of a motion pictures development, in order to pay for all the costs that accrue during the making of a film. https://www.azcentral.com/story/entertainment/movies/2015/04/08/top-movies-money-perils/25468453/ There are two main ways that funding for a film can be secured: Through a studio or Independently. If you are looking for funds through a studio, they handle most of it, but only when a feature-length film is being made under the umbrella of a major film studio (also known as/called Hollywood film). This leads to the company producing the film, tasking them with the legwork to gather eno...
